“My name is Massimo and I manage the center of Environmentally sustainable Lavesé rising in a wide clearing surrounded by one of the most beautiful woods in the Valle d’Aosta, the wood of Lavesé.
Inside the structure I hold several activities such as:
• Weekend teaching.
• Courses, seminars, business meetings and cultural associations.
• Wine themed evenings.
• Tasting of typical short chain products and of my specialties.
THE STRUCTURE IS OBTAINED FROM AN OLD ALPEGGIO RESTORED THANKS TO GREEN BUILDING TECHNIQUES AND INTENDED TO TEACHING AND TOURIST-ACCOMMODATION. WE BOAST THE HONOR TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT IN TERMS OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION WITH A PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM SUPPORTED BY A LPG GAS POWERED GENERATOR AND A SOLAR SYSTEM, SUPPORTED BY A PELLET BOILER; THE WATER WASTE ARE DISPOSED THROUGH A SYSTEM OF ARTIFICIAL WETLANDS.
I give hospitality and welcome the “wanderers” of any age who enjoy hiking in summer and snowshoeing in winter or mountain biking accompanied by guides and the instructors who work with us. My hostel is, in fact, often used by hikers and bikers as a checkpoint before heading out on the trails of the area (all well signaled and of different difficulty). Among the most popular paths there is the hike to the chapel of St. Evance and then to the chapel of St. Pantaleon (a two hours walk) from which you can enjoy the view on the balcony of Valtournenche, dominated by the Matterhorn. the mostly flat paths of the ancient irrigation channels, which offer beautiful scenic views are also in the process of being validatd by the municipality.
Near the center I suggest a visit of the Manor of Cly, which experienced its best period in the Middle Ages, but in the mid-seventeenth century, Pietro Filiberto Roncas, sir Cly, abandoned it, decreeing its decline.”
